Where a guide comes from

Each guide starts from a public video by a keyboard creator, supported by limited research. The creator is credited on every image taken from their video, and the original video is linked in the guide's sources.

What counts as a demonstrated step

A step is presented as demonstrated only when the action can be seen in the footage. Timestamps point to where it happens. Anything the video does not show is not written as if it had been.

Three kinds of statement

• Observed in the video — actions and on-screen text visible in the demonstration.
• Supported externally — a point backed by an accepted outside source, which is cited.
• Unresolved — creator statements or details that could not be confirmed, labelled “Unverified”. Unconfirmed model names and lubricant grades are always labelled this way.

Links marked “Context only” give background. They do not endorse, and are not cited as proof of, any claim made by the creator.

Coverage and limits

A guide covers what its source video covers. Where a video shows only part of a procedure, the guide says so — the stabilizer guide, for instance, covers the first half only. Guides are not independent reproductions, and readers should check the details against their own hardware before making changes.
